All the climbing will be carried out at Crazy Horse Buttress, which is considered Chiang Mai's best climbing location. It’s located a little beyond the town Sankampaeng, East of Chiang Mai.
There are total of three climbing course choices:
Course 1 - Introduction to top rope climbing
The basic of rock climbing on this course. The course is intended for beginners and stresses details in safety issues, equipment, language used, and the basic skills required in rock climbing. At the end of the course, you should be a foundation for intermediate to advanced rock climbing.
Course 2 - Intermediate top rope climbing
This course is a step further than course 1 where you will get to understand more complex issues of rock climbing. There will be topics on advanced safeties and climbing movement. This course is designed so that you will strengthen your basic skills and gain more confidence though it’s ideal for climbers with little climbing experience. Remarks: Climbers must have at least taken a previous Top Rope climbing course or displaying basic knowledge of Top Rope climbing concepts before participating in this course.
Course 3- Introduction to Lead climbing
Lead climbing is an essential skill for an aspiring climber. In this course we will discuss the differences between top rope climbing and lead climbing. We will introduce you to the safety issues inherent in lead climbing and help you master the skills necessary to be a good lead climber.This course is ideal for an experienced top rope climber or a climber who has just finished the top rope introductory course program. This is the next step toward becoming a successful climber.Remarks: Climbers must have taken an intermediate Top Rope Rock Climbing Course or displaying knowledge of the skills required in Top Rope climbing before participating in a Lead Climbing Course. Climbers should know the skill of threading an anchor before taking a lead climbing course.You will be picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai around 08.30 and drive at least 30 minutes to Crazy Horse Buttress. Safety briefing before morning climbing session. Then have a break for lunch. Continue with afternoon climbing session after lunch. You should be able to get back to your hotel or guest house by around 17.00 hours.

Climbing trips depart Chiang Mai for Crazy Horse Buttress on a daily basis. Transport
You will be transported to Crazy Horse Buttress by seated covered pick-up truck or jeep. Crazy Horse is about 40 minute drive East of Chiang Mai city.
Equipment
All necessary climbing and safety equipment will be supplied free of charge. This includes climbing shoes and safety helmet. All equipment is well maintained and checked on a regular basis.
What to wear
Light shorts and t-shirts are ideal for the sport. Preferably shorts without too many pockets. There’s no need to bring climbing shoes as it will be provided.
What to bring
Since all climbing gear will be provided so there isn’t much need to take along, but you may want to bring along your sunhat, sunglasses, sun block, your camera and maybe snacks.
